Bridges have always fascinated me, from ropes stretching across rushing rivers and deep canyons to great feats of modern engineering linking entire countries together. There are some incredible bridges in all corners of the world and I’ve put together my top 5 from the ones I’ve had the pleasure of seeing first hand.
Travel shows. I find it very difficult to go to a travel show and just browse. It’s like walking into Starbucks, having a look at the menu and then leaving. Or going to Ikea and not buying any Swedish food at the very end to go with your shower mats and bendy lamps.
I decided to enjoy the fantastic weather that descended on London this weekend and my buddy and I headed to Borough Market (see my post on my first visit here) and got some chicken gyoza and freshly-made bread. As we looked for somewhere to sit and enjoy the sunshine and the food, we heard the sounds of music coming from around the corner.
Sometimes, when it comes to travel, it’s easy to gloss over local sights in favour of faraway lands. Despite living in London for 17 years, there are many sights and attractions that I haven’t visited. Borough Market is one of them.
