Guinsa temple was high on my list of things to see on my trip to South Korea. The headquarters of the Cheontae Order of Korean Buddhism is one of the most striking temple complexes in Korea and after reading about it, I just had to check it out!

I enjoy cycling. Not enough to own a bike at home but enough to hire one or join a tour on most of my trips. When planning my trip to South Korea, I decided that I wanted to give cycling in Seoul a try.
Seoul’s Gwangjang Market is an absolute must-visit for any self-respecting foodies. Its bustling lanes are full of food stalls and the area comes alive at night, when locals fill the benches of the different establishments. The owners (seemingly always older Korean ladies) are quick to fill patrons’ bowls with delicious freshly-cooked food.
South Korea may be overlooked by many visitors to Asia, but there are so many reasons why you shouldn’t make the same mistake. While it’s hardly undiscovered, its mix of stunning landscapes, rich history and fascinating culture deserves a lot more attention than it gets.
A hike in Seoraksan National Park was one of the few that I definitely wanted to do on my visit to Korea. Its stunning rock formations and abundance of flora and fauna earned it a status of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
