I am very jealous of your upcoming trip as San Francisco is a fantastic city. It’s well worth exploring Chinatown and checking out the nearby City Lights bookstore (www.citylights.com) – one of the most famous independent bookstores.

Wander down to Pier 39 and see the famous sea lions sunning themselves on wooden platforms – they love putting on a show for people! You can take the ferry to Alcatraz just down the road from Pier 33, but I recommend pre booking as tickets sell out very quickly! (www.alcatrazcruises.com). Have a read of the post I made earlier today about Alcatraz.

The Golden Gate Bridge is unmissable and for an extra special view, try and take an evening cruise around the Bay!

If you are into sport, you could catch a Giants baseball game at the AT&T Park. The Giants are playing well this season, but I am a big Cubs fan!

I enjoyed just wandering the streets of San Francisco but if you get tired, you can always hop onto the cable car!

Hope this helps but happy to answer any other questions!
