My recent road trip around the United States gave me an opportunity to spend time in some fascinating places and discover this amazing country. I didn’t always get as much time in each place as I would have liked and Memphis was one of them.
During my trip to the States and Canada this summer, I was lucky enough to go to a few baseball games. I love North American sports and while I am a huge ice hockey fan (Go Hawks!), I have struggled to fully understand the appeal of baseball.
No visit to San Francisco is complete without venturing out to “The Rock” in the choppy waters of San Francisco Bay – Alcatraz stood as a notorious federal prison for almost 30 years between 1934 and 1963 and housed some of America’s most dangerous prisoners including gangster Al “Scarface” Capone and murderer Robert Stroud or the “Birdman of Alcatraz”.
