I looked up at the sign again. I was on the right platform – at least I hoped I was. Boarding the wrong bus or train is part and parcel of travelling but I haven’t yet been faced with a train that could take me to the wrong country.

- Where In The World?
You‘ve got the dates locked in, flights booked and even a couple of buddies lined up for your big trip. You’ve started planning all the awesome activities you’ll do and places you’ll visit. And this is precisely when you start realising that you may not have quite as much saved up for this as you originally thought.
Travel shows. I find it very difficult to go to a travel show and just browse. It’s like walking into Starbucks, having a look at the menu and then leaving. Or going to Ikea and not buying any Swedish food at the very end to go with your shower mats and bendy lamps.
Travelling Solo vs With Others
You’ve done your research, got the time off work and weighed up all the costs of your trip. You are ready to go off on your adventure, but should you do it all alone or is it better to share the experience with others?
Planning Your Trip
So, you know where you’re going. You’ve spent countless hours on the Internet researching your trip, got an awesome tip-off from your friends or simply stuck a pin on a map without looking. Whichever way you decided, you can now get down to business of planning your travels and get even more excited about going away.
So the hard part is out the way…No, seriously! Deciding to travel is one of the best decisions you are likely to make in your life but it is also one of the toughest. Soon you will be exploring ancient ruins, climbing mountains and trying exotic foods from around the world, but deciding to take the plunge can be difficult.

When I travelled through South East Asia, I picked up loads of friendships bracelets from every place I visited to remind me of where I’ve been.
