Learning a new language is never easy yet being able to communicate with locals in a foreign country has many advantages. From ordering food to asking directions, having a few phrases up your sleeve can mean the difference between confused looks and a great recommendation.
Travel has been a constant in my life for only about five years, yet I honestly can’t even think what I would do without it. The thought of catching a “travel bug” might not make sense to those who haven’t experienced traversing foreign lands, meeting people from all walks of life and jumping on a plane at every opportunity.
Travelling without a smartphone today is akin to not bringing a passport for many people. There are, of course, thousands of travel apps available for almost every aspect of your trip. With so many to choose from, how can you tell which ones are the most useful and likely to make your trip more memorable?
