The sun was still hiding behind the sandstone cliffs which rose, like giant monoliths, on both sides of the road snaking through the canyon. Cottonwood trees, junipers and wildflowers perched along the banks of the Virgin River, which twisted through the gorge.

USA is a vast country and a roadtrip is one of the best ways to explore everything it has to offer. From great cities to stunning national parks, there is something for everyone to enjoy. There are also loads of weird and wonderful places to discover beyond the familiar favourites.
Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. You know the quote – it’s all over the Internet so it must be true! What travel might not always do, however, is make you fitter. All the calories burnt walking around cool, new places will soon be piled on the second you stumble upon that awesome street food market.
Music – every traveller’s friend on long journeys, overnight layovers and lazy days at the beach. For me, making a travel playlist is an exciting part of getting ready for a trip and many songs remind me of certain places or experiences from my adventures.

Koningsdag, or King’s Day, is one of the most important dates in the Dutch calendar. The birthday of the King of Netherlands is a national holiday and is celebrated country-wide with events, festivals and street parties. The capital is a great place to join the biggest street party of the year and I decided to join the festivities myself this April.
Here is a list of some of the best things to see and do on your visit to the Moroccan capital. Let me know if I have missed anything out in my list of Marrakech sights in the comments!
Get lost in the Marrakech souqs
Wandering around in the Marrakech souqs is an essential Moroccan experience, so put away your map and dive in.
We heard it before we saw it, the rumbling sound of the waterfall just underneath us. We followed the path and soon got our first glimpse of the cascades in all their glory, carefully peering over the edge into the valley, watching the water plummeting into the river below.
There is no shortage of places to eat and drink in the Marrakech medina. From curb-side stalls selling bread and orange juice to open air restaurants serving the finest Moroccan food to upmarket cocktail bars, Marrakech medina has options for all tastes and budgets.
