    Nice post, Lexx,
the transport in Bangkok is amazing. It’s a great place to hop on and off the BTS – jump on a riverboat down at Saphan Taksin station, or flag down a tuk-tuk or motorbike taxi for a late night ride through the quieter streets. Bangkok is such a buzzing city. Your pics are great too.

I actually thought there was only one airport so glad I read this otherwise would have turned up at the wrong place for my second flight! Thanks for the tips on getting around too! Great to know this stuff in advance.

Absolutely fantastic tips here Alexei, it really is packed with essential info that I will definitely be using when we visit in the next couple of months! I love your fun game idea for the Skytrain 😀 Thanks for the tip on which hostel you stayed in as well, I have stayed on Koh San Road before and I didn’t like it; I thought I had better service when I was away from the action and walked to Koh San Road. Have pinned this for future reference. #feetdotravel

Great post! I wish I had this guide before going to Bangkok. We took an uber from the airport to the city and it was not that expensive, buses around the city and also the boat which is quite cheap and interesting. I love the fact they are selling you over the counter medicine, I took a nasty flu 2 days before my flight and I needed antibiotics for 5 days – I had to take my shoes off in order to enter the pharmacy. Bangkok can be crazy but it’s a nice city to visit. Thanks for sharing.

Great tips Lexx – you have got all the bases covered. One time my girlfriend came to visit me in Bangkok and when she was leaving took a taxi to the airport. She assumed there was only one airport, told the taxi driver ‘take me to the airport’ and end up at the wrong one. Lesson learnt – make sure you tell the driver which airport!
