Great post! I’ve been to a few of these places but certainly not all of them. For the next one, I’d love to go to 1880 Town. How cool is that! So neat that you can even hire a costume to use while you explore the town.

Wall Drug is probably my favorite place from your list, just because it holds a lot of nostalgia. South Dakota is really quite the state with a lot to do! I’ve also been to the Bubblegum Alley in SLO, and let me tell you, it’s equally parts cool and gross (gross only because it smells … or maybe we just went on a particularly hot day in May). SLO is pretty awesome for other reasons, too! A town well worth exploring.

    Thanks for sharing!

Hey Anna, thanks for stopping by! 1880 Town was very random but a great look into a fascinating period in American history. Definitely recommend it! South Dakota was one of my favourite states alongside Wyoming!

You had me at the Amish Town!! I don’t know why, but I’m fascinated by this way of life and really want to visit, that, and some of the other totally quirky sights you have described – great post!

Angie, agreed, I was really looking forward to seeing a snapshot of that life. It was very interesting to talk to some of the residents and see some of the families going about their daily business!

Been to Wall Drug and Cadillac Ranch! The day we were there, there were TONS of cows meandering through. Very funny! Cheers from Copenhagen, Erin
