What an awesome list of things to do in Paris, and quite timely too, as we’re off to rediscover Paris for a few days in August! We didn’t get to experience any of these things last time we were in town… The market and catacombs are definitely on our list (fresh oysters sound incredible to me)! Thanks for a great look at alternative things to do in Paris; we can’t wait to go back now. 🙂

Ah you guys are going to have an amazing time! Definitely try and get away from the crowds as there will be a LOT of people in Paris in August!

Wow you picked some great things that are off the beaten path to visit in Paris. I would so go and venture and try these places. I liked the jazz in the medieval dungeon and the restaurant but not sure about getting lost in the catacombs. Oh yes I would so do that. lol. I pinned this for my next visit to Paris and thanks for sharing! 🙂

Some great ideas though I don’t think I could cope with the catacombs (not a fan of small spaces or skeletons!) but the food ideas are definitely on my list. And the musee d’orsay I really would love to visit! #feetdotravel

This is incredible and made me want to visit Paris way sooner than I expected. Me and my husband are scary movie/jazz music buffs so seeing the skeletons or listening to jazz in a dungeon would be amazing for us. I will be pinning this for later, awesome tips! 🙂

The jazz club is fantastic! You would love it. One of the coolest things I’ve ever done in Paris

Yeah, they are certainly not for the faint of heart but definitely a fascinating part of the city’s history!

We like to occasionally get off the beaten track of sights and explore other interesting spots, these are great ideas! I love the idea of La Recycler, will definitely check that place out when we next visit Paris. Not sure about the fresh oysters! thanks for all the ideas!

We’ve been to Paris twice but have not made it to any of these! The Musee D’Orsay has been on my radar and I would love to go one day. And Le Caveau des Oubliettes just looks awesome.

It’s such a beautiful city, even away from the main sights!

I’ve been to Paris many time but never to the Catacombes de Paris. Your pictures have inspired me to make a visit next time. Musee D’Orsay looks like a good alternative to the Louvre.

Musee D’Orsay was my favourite museum when I visited Paris; at the time I was a huge Monet lover so I sought it out specifically to see his work but loved the fact there were a couple of huge Toulouse Lautrec pieces there as well. I wish I would have known about the catacombes, they look like creepy fun 😀 Jazz in a medieval dungeon looks like my sort of thing as well – I love this list! #feetdotravel

Love the restaurant-bar-organic farm-grocery store hybrid concept! Great way to minimize waste. The dungeon jazz joint is a quirky and fun one too! It all shows a different side of the city that tourists usually don’t see.

These are some really cool ideas to spice up a visit to Paris. The dungeon jazz club sounds pretty offbeat but definitely worth checking out. Love that clock from the Musee D’Orsay too.
